…and to celebrate the life of our friend, Chad Bordwell We’re here tonight to raise money for brain tumor patients and research… …and to celebrate the life of our friend, Chad Bordwell

Chad was a 36-year-old loving husband and father of three young girls. He also was a son, brother and friend to many.

Chad was a driven individual, personally and professionally as a Direct Supply Partner.  He was an avid runner, completing 9 marathons, and a sport enthusiast.

Chasing Chad is Formed First formed in December 2009 as a group to support and inspire Chad when he was in the hospital. Many friends pledged to complete the equivalent of a marathon (26.2 miles) of physical activity during the month.

Chasing Chad is Formed Chad passed away on December 18, 2009.   Chad asked that we use the enthusiasm and support to help raise money for brain cancer research

Chasing Chad Mission Chad Bordwell Chasing Chad provides support to local brain tumor patients, provides funding for valuable brain cancer research and promotes a healthier lifestyle by striving for and achieving bold fitness goals all in memory of our friend, Chad Bordwell

Chasing Chad was born out of Chad’s desire to help others and support research. Over the past 7 years, we have met many other people and families in the same predicament - dealing with a brain tumor diagnosis. And more…

There are nearly 700,000 people in the U. S There are nearly 700,000 people in the U.S. currently living with a brain tumor. Over 138,000 are malignant Sources: National Brain Tumor Society, Acceleratebraincancercure.org

The causes of brain tumors are currently unknown The causes of brain tumors are currently unknown. There are 120 different types of brain tumors. There is no cure for glioblastomas, one of the most aggressive tumors. Treatment options include surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

Malignant brain tumors are the most common cause of cancer-related deaths in adolescents and young adults aged 15-39 and the most common cancer occurring among 15-19 year olds

This year, nearly 14,000 people will lose their battle with a brain tumor. But together, we can make a difference
