Bones & Teeth are Similar BonesTeeth Bones are considered to be a part of the Skeletal System Bones contain calcium and phosphorus The minerals found in bones make them strong, durable Bones are white Teeth are considered to be a part of the Skeletal System Teeth contain calcium and phosphorus The minerals found in teeth make them strong, durable Teeth are white Hey, we have a lot in common. But Just Because Bones and Teeth are Similar, Does NOT Mean They are the Same Similar (adj): Having a resemblance in appearance, character, or quantity, without being identical Same (adj): Identical; not different;

Bones and Teeth ARE NOT THE SAME THING! - Dr. Fisher, ER Doctor Bones Teeth Bones are wrapped in a layer of cells called periosteum which allow bones to grow and be remodeled over time. Periosteum contains osteoblasts, or cells that can manufacture new bone growth and repair. Bones contain neither enamel nor dentin (which is why they are not as strong as teeth) Teeth are not wrapped in a layer of periosteum. Teeth are unable to do this, which is why you must take care of them. A broken, fractured or cracked tooth cannot heal itself because it does not contain periosteum Teeth are made up of enamel & dentin (which makes them stronger than bones) We are totes not twins. You dont have periosteum? That is so weird! Later loser!

Collagen is a living, growing tissue that gives bones their a flexible framework that allows them to withstand pressure. Bone marrow produces red and white blood cells, Bones receive their blood supply from a number of arteries that pass through the bone's periosteum to the inner bone marrow.blood supply Bones are inside of humans Teeth are not made up of collagen, which is why they are not as flexible as bones Teeth do not. The pulp of a tooth (inner most layer) may look like marrow, but it is not marrow. Teeth are visible; they are on display
