Objectives By the end of this section, you should be able to: Count, read and write numbers up to 1000 Represent numbers using manipulatives. Write numbers in expanded form and vice versa. Compare and order numbers.

Activity 1: Snakes and Ladders Note to teacher: 1. Divide class into two groups; Group A and Group B 2. One student from Group A is asked to roll the dice and read aloud the number obtained in English 3. The same student must then write the number obtained in words on the whiteboard. 4. One student from Group B is asked to roll the dice and say the number aloud and move the game piece accordingly. The student should then read the number on the square aloud and write the number on the whiteboard. 5. This procedure should then be repeated by a new student from each group.
