Vision Statement What do we want to be in 5 years? Mission Statement Our WHY. The Meaning behind our actions. We will develop and support individuals to be exceptional leaders who as a cohesive team use innovation and integrity to solve a major global issue by reusing or recycling anything with a circuit board or plug. Vision Statement What do we want to be in 5 years? Our deeply engaged and committed workforce will reuse and recycle the largest share of Canada’s electronic waste in the most sustainable manner.

Core Values These are the attributes we use in our day to day decisions and actions PEOPLE: We will attract and retain individuals to build a culture with “soul”, based upon safety, teamwork and empathy. LEADERSHIP: We will develop and train our leaders to motivate and inspire themselves and those around them. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT: We will instill a deep commitment to continuous improvement in every area of the business. CUSTOMERS: We will build and structure our business around the needs of our customers. Every employee is in the business of customer service. INTEGRITY: We will conduct ourselves with integrity and transparency. “We do what we say we’re going to do”

OES Windup: Highlevel comments from a Processor We believe Municipalities will play an important role in the new system. Direct collection. Hybrid model Communication and outreach There will be opportunities to work with a PRO or direct with a processor. We’re taking a “wait and see” approach. Municipalities would benefit from the same.

OES Windup: What should Municipalities advocate for? Everything with a battery or plug. Provides opportunities to create exceptions (medical devices, for example) while ensuring nothing is left out. If no expansion in the initial phase, a clear timeline on when those products will become obligated.

OES Windup: What should Municipalities advocate for? Set the right target. If the target is too low there will be a risk of orphan products being stockpiled or landfilled.

Engagement over the next few months You are all invited for a tour of Shift. We’d be pleased to work with MWA members to arrange group or individual visits. Bring councillors and other stakeholders so they can learn as well.
