Statistical analysis of the effect of Z-FA-FMK on the SMN protein expression in biological triplicates (sample 1, 2, and 3) of SMA fibroblast cells (GM03813). Statistical analysis of the effect of Z-FA-FMK on the SMN protein expression in biological triplicates (sample 1, 2, and 3) of SMA fibroblast cells (GM03813). Notes: (1) Doses were transformed using the formula ln(dose + 1). (2) Lines of Sample 1–3 were based on raw data. (3) The overall line (green color) was based on parameter estimates from the linear mixed model that accounts for correlations within each sample. The parameter estimate for dose (treated as a continuous variable) = 0.12, P < 0.0001. (4) Using linear mixed model (different doses were coded as dummy variables with no-drug group as the reference group), we also found that the difference between drug and control group turned statistically significant when the dose reached to 10 (P = 0.003).
