FURDENTYL™ FURDENTYL™ is a Calcium glycerophosphate (CaGP) (US GRAS approved) It has a cariostatic action and a role as a nutritional supplement It can be used alone for its intrinsic anticaries activity or combined with NaMFP for its enhancing effect on the anticaries activity of fluorine FURDENTYL™ can be used: Locally: Toothpaste, mouthwash, chewing gum, before & after brushing solutions Orally: Tablets

FURDENTYL™ FURDENTYL action mode: Being a nutrient & a cariostatic agent renders FURDENTYL particularly interesting in the case of individuals whose intellect and physique are still developing, such as teenagers and children. Dental caries is an infection, usually bacterial in origin, that causes demineralization of the hard tissues (enamel, dentin and cementum) and destruction of the organic matter of the tooth, usually by production of acid by hydrolysis of the food debris accumulated on the tooth surface FURDENTYL action mode: Acts as a buffer power against the saliva’s pH Helps mineralizing the tooth (Ca & P supplement) Improves the fluorine fixation Improves NaMFP’s role

FURDENTYL ZnC FURDENTYL ZnC (Zinc citrate) is considered a safe and appropriate ingredient for tartar control and antigingivitis oral care products and has a history of use as a dietary supplement Tartar forms in the mouth when plaque mineralizes on your teeth. The resulting hard deposits (calcified plaque or tartar) can only be removed by a dentist or hygienist. Zinc citrate helps prevent tartar buildup by preventing plaque from hardening (calcifying). Gingivitis is a disease of the gums that occurs when bacteria accumulate on teeth, producing toxins and irritants that lead to red, puffy gums. If left untreated, gingivitis can result in tooth loss and other health problems. Zinc citrate helps prevent gingivitis by inhibiting bacterial accumulation on teeth and gums.

Dentinal hypersensitivity Dentine hypersensitivity is sensation felt when the nerves inside the dentin of the teeth are exposed to the environment. The sensation can range from irritation all the way to intense, shooting pain. This sensitivity can be caused by several factors, including wear, decaying teeth or exposed tooth roots. This hydrodynamic flow can be increased by cold, air pressure, drying, sugar, sour (dehydrating chemicals), or forces acting onto the tooth. Hot or cold food or drinks, and physical pressure are typical triggers in those individuals with teeth sensitivity. Dentine contains many thousands of microscopic tubular structures that radiate outwards from the pulp; these dentinal tubules are typically 0.5-2 micrometres in diameter. Changes in the flow of the plasma-like biological fluid present in the dentinal tubules can trigger mechanoreceptors present on nerves located at the pulpal aspect thereby eliciting a pain response. Dentinal hypersensitivity The most cheap & efficient first line of treatment is a toothpaste containing a desensitizing active ingredient such as: Potassium Nitrate Strontium Chloride Strontium Acetate

Potassium Nitrate “The most widely used active ingredient in desensitizing toothpaste” Potassium ions work by blocking the synapse between nerve cells, reducing nerve excitation, and the associated pain. Potassium Nitrate is also reported to obliterate the tubules, reducing the fluid flow in them, ultimately reducing dentin hypersensitivity.

FURDENTYL SrA & SrC FURDENTYL SrC (Strontium Chloride) forms a barrier over microscopic tubules in the dentin containing nerve endings that have been exposed by gum recession. FURDENTYL SrA (Strontium Acetate) works by providing a physical plug within the microscopic channels which helps to prevent the response to triggers which can cause the short, sharp pain of sensitive teeth.
