I. The Sower - Jeremiah 1-2 ~626 – 586 BC Called by God 1:5-10 Instructed not to marry 1,2 Instructed not to mourn, feast, party 5, 8 FOR US – Jeremiah not a health and prosperity prophet like some today.

II. Seed of Judgment – Part One 3-13 Seed of warning and judgment in earlier chapters Death coming to all 3-4 Lord take away His peace, lovingkindness and mercies 5-8 Lord remove all sounds of happiness 9 Lord take them out of their land 10-13 FOR US – We are sinners too, need to hear, repent. Many today do not see their own sin.

III. Seed of Hope 14-15, 19 In the middle of seed of judgment is seed of hope 14-15 Hope for the people and the land 14-15 The Lord lives Days coming no longer talk of out of Egypt but out of North Bring people back to their land Hope for Gentiles 19 FOR US – Christian message is hope. Hope helps.

IV. Seed of Judgment – Part 2 16-18, 20-21 Back on message for people 16-17 But first the Lord God 18a The Lord God will judge sin 18b The Lord God will cause them to know 20-21 FOR US – The Babylonian judgment and exile are a timeless reminder that God judges national sin.
