Effects of different remifentanil target concentrations on MAC BAR of sevoflurane in gynaecological patients with CO2 pneumoperitoneum stimulus  Z.-Y. Zou, Y.-L. Zhao, X.-L. Yang, G.-Y. Zhang, H.-G. Fig 1 The determination of MAC BAR of sevoflurane in three groups. The target plasma concentrations of remifentanil in the Groups 1, 2, and 3 are 0, 1, and 2 ng ml−1, respectively. The filled (open) circles represent positive (negative) responses to haemodynamic parameters, and each triangle represents a crossover between positive and negative response. To get 6 crossovers, 18, 20, and 23 patients were used in Groups 1, 2 and 3, respectively. The same end-tidal sevoflurane concentration was used in the seventeenth patient both in Group 2 and Group 3. The MAC BAR of sevoflurane was the mean value of the last 6 crossovers in each group.
