Our project goal was to create a roller coaster that lasted at least 15 seconds long We purchased tubing, PVC piping, screws and hinges, and wood which cost approximately $30 Introduction

Overview When the ball is put on the starting ramp it follows the path toward the entrance in the tube. The ball then rolls through the tubing into the funnel and comes out onto the PVC piping and finally ends in the bucket.

The ball starts with gravitational potential energy at the very beginning of the ride. When the ball starts rolling it uses kinetic energy to get through the ride. Energy On the Ride

Conclusion Building the project and planning took about the same time. Planning includes getting the required materials together. The problems we had the most trouble with included: Keeping the tube wide enough for the ball to fit through Tools Conclusion
