Slides from the DDC 23 training workshop held immediately preceding the 2011 World Library and Information Conference on 12 August 2011 at Universidad Metropolitana in San Juan, Puerto Rico, are available at www.oclc.org/multimedia/2011/ifla2011-ddc23-workshop.htm. Abridged Edition 15 will be published in in the next few weeks. We have a prepublication copy available at the booth. Abridged Edition 15 is the product of a new approach to development of abridged editions of the Dewey Decimal Classification. The content of Abridged Edition 15 has been derived from the underlying Edition 23 database applying a set of rules to build the edition with minimal intellectual intervention. 200 Religion Class is also scheduled to be published in early 2012. The publication will feature additional updates to Islam and other parts of religion, plus a new optional Chronological/regional arrangement of the Bible and specific religions.
