DISTRIBUTIVE PROPERTY A multiplication fact can be broken into the sum of two other multiplication facts. 5(3+2) = 5x3 + 5x2

ASSOCIATIVE PROPERTY You can group the factors in different ways, and the product will be the same. (3 x 4) x 2 =24 3 x (4 x 2) = 24

COMMUTATIVE PROPERTY You can multiply the factors in any order, and the product will be the same 5 x 4 = 20 4 x 5 = 20

The product of any number and one, is that number 8 x 1 = 8 IDENTITY PROPERTY The product of any number and one, is that number 8 x 1 = 8

The product of any number and zero is zero. 6 x 0 =0 ZERO PROPERTY The product of any number and zero is zero. 6 x 0 =0

Directions: move both of your feet to the box that has correct term on it to match example on board

( 5 x 9 ) x 3 = 162 5 x ( 9 x 3 ) = 162

10 x 0 = 0

2 x 3 = 6 3 x 2 = 6

7 x 4 = ( 5 x 4 ) + ( 2 x 4 )

7 x 1 =7

6 x 2 = 12 2 x 6 = 12

15 x 0 = 0

( 7 x 2 ) x 5 = 140 7 x ( 2 x 5) = 140

22 x 1 = 22

6 x 3 = ( 3 x 3) + ( 3 x 3 )
