The Board’s Goals for the 2019 WSC Nancy: We’d like to share with you the Board of Trustees’ goals for this very important group conscience of Al-Anon Family Groups called the 2019 World Service Conference. <click>

Goal One The spiritual tone of the Conference will prevail by the demonstration of Al-Anon’s core principles in action. Dave: The first Goal is “The spiritual tone of the Conference will prevail by the demonstration of Al-Anon’s core principles in action” Angela will tell us a little about what that means to her and how those principles are demonstrated. <click>

Al-Anon’s Twelve Traditions. Goal Two The Conference will provide guidance to Al-Anon’s Board of Trustees and the World Service Office on services to the fellowship and guardianship of Al-Anon’s Twelve Traditions. Angela: Goal 2 reads: “The Conference will provide guidance to Al-Anon’s Board of Trustees and the World Service Office on Services to the fellowship and guardianship of Al-Anon’s Twelve Traditions.” Nancy will tell us a little about what that means to her and how those principles are demonstrated. <click>

Goal Two Conference members are the voice of Al-Anon Family Groups. By applying the principles found in the Legacies, the Conference members reach decisions and provide guidance for the Board. Nancy : The Conference Members are the Voice of Al-Anon Family Groups and as such have knowledge and experience gained from the Area they represent. It is the responsibility of each Conference Member to provide understanding, direction and guidance as it relates to Unity and Spiritual Guidance in our common purpose at the World Service Conference. The Conference Members working together at WSC are putting the Steps, Traditions and Concepts into action. The Conference agenda, Chosen Agenda Items, Thought Forces, and other Conference discussions are conducted and appropriate actions taken utilizing our Legacies’ core principles of Unity, Autonomy, Primary Spiritual Aim, and Principles above Personalities. <Read Sharing> <click>

Goal Three Conference members will understand the purpose of the Conference, relationships within the Structure, and be able to articulate Conference discussions and decisions. Nancy: Goal 3 reads: “Conference members will understand the purpose of the Conference, relationships within the Structure, and be able to articulate Conference discussions and decisions.” Dave will now share with us some of his perspective on this goal. <click>
