Edmund Shakespeare created characters that are fully human – meaning they have attractive and unattractive qualities. Edmund is an example of this. Edmund... - was born illegimately and so has no right to land - has to make his way into the world, like most of us - was the underdog, who struggled to improve himself but...

Edmund - methods are dishonourable - will stop at nothingm including murder and torture - he is aware of what he is doing and the consequences of his actions do you emphasize? Or do you think he got what he deserved? - is it truly his fault? Or is he a product of his father's misdeeds? Write your thoughts on your blog

Edmund When he falls at edgar's hands, he has an epiphany and admits his wrong doing v iii 164-165 In death, edmund becomes more philosophical and uses one of the four motifs to capture his situation V iii 175-176 – the wheel motif In the end, edmund at least tries to redeem himself. With nothing to gain, he tries to stop the execution of Lear and Cordelia in prison V iii 245-248 When he is mortally wounded, he reveals some of his motivation – his longing to be loved. V iii 242-243

A Modern Example Please google the name, Min Chen. Find the person under this name who has a connection to Cecilia Zhang. Read and understand what kind of person he was before and what he is seen as after the event involving Cecilia. On your blogs, share your thoughts on whether you think Min Chen is a person who should receive hate for what he did? Or, should he receive empathy? Explain throughly.
