Renaissance Means REBIRTH/Significa renacer Rebirth of art and learning/Renacimiento del arte y el aprendizaje. Began in northern Italy/Comenzó en al norte de Italia.

Economic Foundations Increased demand for Middle Eastern products/Aumento de la demanda de productos de Oriente Medio. Encouraged the use of credit and banking/Fomentó el uso del crédito y la banca. Letters of credit expanded supply of money and sped up trade./ Las cartas de crédito expandieron la oferta de dinero y aceleraron el comercio. New accounting and bookkeeping practices used Arabic numerals/ Nuevas prácticas contables y contables emplean números arábigos.

Italy Italian city-states became rich from trade: Las ciudades-estado italianas se enriquecieron con el comercio: Florence/Florencia Venice/Venecia Genoa/Génova They were trading centers for the distribution of goods to northern Europe.
