Angler Fish

The Angler fish lives deep down at the bottom of the ocean.

It is very dark and cold down there

There is a lot of pressure in the water and the angler fish is well suited to this environment.

The Angler fish has long sharp teeth in a huge mouth. She attracts her prey by dangling a light in front of her.

Only the females dangle lights to attract prey.

The males bite the female and over time become part of her.

A female can have six or more males hanging onto her.

They are probably the ugliest animals on our planet.

There are more than 200 species of Angler fish.
