Timeline between learning about ESSA and actual ACT test Clear expectations in consistent aligned lessons in Math, Science and English (to maximize student achievement on all parts of the ACT) Teacher PD on March 2 Success Retrieving data Aggregate data to use for lesson planning Testing students in April then Testing in June to determine achievement of ESSA baseline How will the barriers to reaching the TARGET be addressed? 1. a. Offer ASVAB again the spring semester for 11th graders b. Sign up all 12th graders for the April ACT 2. a. Provide PD (for teachers in our group) for March2Success b. Daily focus: MW- English; Tuesday-Science; TR-Math Contact LeMoyne and U of Memphis for tutors who can come on T /TH ENG IV classes for math lessons on March2Success c. Sessions will take place during the senior English class Focus instruction for target groups based on March2Success data a. Current seniors will be divided into target and non target groups, based on current ACT scores and current progress in class. b. ACT Blitz sessions on Fridays (mock tests/prep sessions) 4. Once test scores are received for the March and April tests, new target groups will be developed in preparation for the June and September/October tests. Strategy 1 should discuss ways to improve students who scored between 100 – 85. Strategy 2 should discuss ways to improve students who scored between 84-70. Strategy 3 should discuss ways to improve students who scored between 69 & Below
