GCSE Photography Project 3 Out of Place

Brief The Surrealist movement has inspired photographers such as Tommy Ingberg and Anja Stiegler to create seemingly impossible combinations of scenes or objects using digital processes. In his series ‘Out of Place’ Robert Rickhoff digitally manipulates photographs to create scenes using illogical, unlikely combinations and positions of objects. Investigate appropriate sources and create your own work inspired by the theme Out of Place.

Investigate what surreal photography is. In this exam I will... Investigate what surreal photography is. Present research on Tommy Ingberg, Anja Stiegler and Robert Rickhoff. Produce a studio or location photo shoot of different subject matter which can be Photoshopped together to create surreal photographs. Present 5 final photos on a board. Contact sheet Save all your photos in a folder on your user area. Open them ALL in Adobe Photoshop CS3 software. Go to FILE, AUTOMATE, CONTACT SHEET II, CURRENT OPEN DOCUMENTS and then OKAY. A contact sheet will be created of all your photos.
