AIM: What led to the need for a revolution in Mexico?

Something to Think About: How do you think significant individuals emerge during independence movements? What characteristics are necessary for an individual to make such a drastic difference for their citizens?

Independence in Mexico Native Americans and Mestizos led the way in independence movements 1810---Miguel Hidalgo—called on religious values to justify rebellion against the Spanish (priest) 1821—independce in Mexico!!
