Agenda Item 6: Review of the list of priority substances (Decision 2455/2001/EC) EAF(9)-06/02/INERIS - Data processing - preparation for data collection - draft document for discussion

To inform the substance prioritisation exercise: was never updated COMMPS Database First list of PS Data collection Review of first list New data collection WISE continuous process of data collection in the future

Doc EAF(8)-04/02/INERIS - Some conclusions: After COMMPS, new monitoring data have been produced: the prioritisation process must take these new data into consideration Appropriate criteria for data quality should be established for sound use and comparability of the data The data collection template proposed in the doc EAF(8)-04/02/INERIS was considered to be costly and to some extent unrealistic

New proposal: For future data collection under WISE (info submitted when available) Amount of info requested - effort Elements for assessment of data quality and comparability Cat. 3 data Cat. 2 data Cat. 1 data Without this info the data will be discarded

Data source - WFD mandatory, national, research.. Info about Sampling Station - RBD ID - Sampling site ID - Longitude / latitude - Water Body Category - Type of monitoring station Info about Sampling - date of sampling Cat. 1 data Info about Sample Matrix - sample matrix ID - fraction analysed Info about Determinand - Substance name and code (CAS, ELINCS, EINECS) - Value - Unit of determination - Uncertainty (value ± %) Info about Analysis - Laboratory name - LOD - LOQ
