Statue of Liberty As the ferry passed the Statue of Liberty, I felt excited. I took the time to think more like an immigrant and put myself in his or her position. I became nervous at the thought of a new land, but my excitement continued to build. The view was overwhelming and inspiring as the ferry moved closer towards Ellis Island and the beginning of a dream of an immigrant.

Ellis Island The architecture of the building was breathtaking . This would be the starting point of the line that could lead one on a trip back to one’s homeland or on a trip to start a new life. This thought of unconfirmed certainty gave me chills. It is impossible to know the exact feeling of the people that left everything to gain something hopefully better.
