Physical Activity/Active Travel Health Improvement Delivery Plan with priorities for 2018/19 Draft Healthier Futures Strategy will influence actions around healthy diet, physical activity and healthy weight Local Healthy Weight Strategic Plan nearing completion Health and Transport Action Plan (HTAP) Steering Group and sub groups: Access to Health Transport and Public Health Focus on staff health and wellbeing with Health Promoting Health Service actions Collaborative work with wider partners to support activity Links into Environmental Sustainability

Health and Transport Action Plan (HTAP) Steering Group established since 2009 Multi-agency group - NHS (Planning, Public Health), IJB’s, Local Authority Transport planners, NESTRANS) Annual Report and contribution to the DPH Report Networking event in May 2018 Sub-group have Action Plans Route Maps

Transport and Health Access to transport increases health and wellbeing; great access to amenities and services Can increase stress Transport related injury Transport and Physical Activity Car travel increases sedentary behaviour Active travel/public transport can increase overall levels Noise pollution Place Greenspace; car dominated environments; Climate change - emissions

A Healthy Transport System Inclusive and accessible to all (rurality, cost, air and noise pollution, injury) Priority moved from car to alternative modes and public transport Promote active travel, and the wider health benefits to the individual and the wider community Continue to improve safety Lobby policy

Physical Activity Initiatives Paths for All – Public Health Practitioner undertaking the cascade training, with Volunteer Walk Leader Courses in Moray and Aberdeenshire

Physical Activity Initiatives Cycle Friendly Employer - getting grant funding to improve 3 NHS sites cycle facilities (Summerfield House, Inverurie Hospital & Fraserburgh Hospital. Cycle Scotland have also funded two e-bikes.

Physical Activity Initiatives Cycle to Work Scheme – promotion of the scheme to staff, with roadshows and bike maintenance sessions

Physical Activity Initiatives National Services Directory – many physical activity services are on this Medal Routes – three exemplar sites and 16 routes linked to healthcare facilities Play at Home – links with Aberdeen City to improve uptake National Physical Activity Action Plan Working Group Promotion of GetAbout resources to promote Active Travel – www.getabout.org.uk AFCCT FFIT – funded four sessions over the last two years, in Aberdeen City and Inverurie
