In pairs identify the following: Grade C – Explain why the Bible has authority for Catholics Read 1 John 3:18-24 In pairs identify the following: How does the passage tell us to behave? Grade C – Explain why the Bible has authority for Catholics Why do they authority? Sermon on the Mount – Jesus teaching Have a think...Grade A/A* - Analyse whether the Bible is the best authority

Grade B – Justify the importance of the Bible for Catholics The Bible has authority for Catholics because.. It reveals God. God speaks through the OT and the NT. It tells us God’s laws on how to behave. Contains the teachings of Jesus on how to live a Christian life. Can lead to a closer relationship with God through learning about what God wants. 2 minutes to draw a picture for each

Grade A/A* - Analyse whether the Bible is the best authority I do think the Bible is the best authority because teachings in the Sermon on the Mount come directly from Jesus, the Son of God, and tell us how God wants us to live. No I don’t think the Bible is the best authority because not everyone understands the meanings of parables and need guidance to understand God. Create an activity to complete this analysis! Speech? Rap?
