National Board Elections – Preparation for NA ISU Norway

Voting procedure A person is elected with a majority of 50% + 1 vote of the votes cast. If there are more than two candidates and none of them receive the necessary majority, the candidate that received the least number of votes is stricken and a new round of elections will be arranged. This will continue until one candidate is elected.

The deadline for handing in applications to the NB, EB, Committees is one week before the NA. NB members elected remain in office until the next NA, unless they lay down their duties or are voted out of the NB Vacancies

Duties of the EB Makes a budget and plan of action together with the leader, and has access to the finances. Acts as the President when the President is absent

The Executive Board Meets at least two times per month Publish a monthly report of activities Cannot hold a local branch position Conflicts in the Executive Board are resolved in the National Board

The National Board Composed of a Chairman, Deputy Chairman, Treasurer, Political Auditor and the three EB members Reviews and approves ISU Norway’s accounting and revised budget, four times a year Hires an Organisation Consultant Decided the salaries of the OC and EB

The National Board Meets at least 4 times a year for no longer than a day Decisions in the EB are decided by a simple majority In order to run for a position on the NB or EB, the candidate must be a student in Norway for the following year

The National Board Anything not covered by the ISU Constitution can be decided by unanimous agreement among the National Board A National Board member can also be removed from their positions by a two –thirds majority of the NA in cases of financial fraud or any other behavior that goes against the constitution or principles of ISU.
