Ms. Hovious’ 1st Grade Week of: April 23rd, 2019 Early Dismissal 11:30 May 10th Teacher Institute June 3rd - Field Day, June 4th - Talent Show, June 5 -Picnic If your student plays a spring sport, if you share their schedule with me I will try to make it to see some games :) This week we will be working on interpreting data from a bar graph and a pictograph. Students will also identify the range, median and mode of a group of numbers. Continue to work on addition and subtraction flash cards at home. This week in reading we will read Mole and Baby Bird and work on dipthongs ou/ou and syllables VCV. We will also practice sequencing events in a story and summarizing. This week we will be learning about our beautiful Earth and how we can help take care of it. We will make a litter collector and learn about the water cycle and clouds.
