The New Democratic Party Chris, Colby, Jayden, Tanner

Previous leaders Marit Stiles (2016-2018) Toronto school Trustee. Member of ontario provincial legislature since 2018. Rebecca Blaikie (2011-2016) Former executive director of the NDP in Quebec and former party treasurer.

Party Beliefs The NDP believes in building a society with equal rights. They want everyone to feel included and they want to help out the average Canadian. The NDP believes in more opportunities for younger Canadians. They are committed to a moderate form of socialism and a mixed economy. The NDP believes in opportunity and they want to create as many jobs and services as possible or the average Canadian.

History of the NDP The NDP was founded in 1961. The first NDP leader in Canada was Tommy Douglas and the current NDP leader is Jagmeet Singh. From 1961 to 2008 the NDP obtained on average 15.6 percent of the votes in National Elections.
