Shape Spatial configuration of an object or set of objects

Size Areal measurement of an object. Scale dependent!! Relative size is important.

Pattern Repetition of alignment of shapes

Shadow Oblique illumination show the shape of objects. Shadows enhance subdued topography/features

Tone/Color Tone… variations in shades of gray (black and white TV?) Color… variations in spectral reflection recorded as specific parts of the visible spectrum (colors)

Texture Patterns of aggregate features too small to be individually identified. Scale dependent

Site/Association Inherent relationship of an object with its environment. Linkage of object/process with other objects/processes and spatial patterns
