We will be creating some individual and group collages in class but the children will also be designing and making their own ‘personal’ collages. We have lots of magazines and newspapers in school, but the children need to bring in some more personal pictures, words and images from home. We have talked about the questions below as a way of getting them thinking about what sort of things they could bring in. We have also shown them 2 examples of a finished collage. Anything they use needs to be able to be cut up and glued, so please don’t bring in any thing special, or ‘one copy only’ photos! The finished collages will be in the shape of their initial so images and words need to be a variety of sizes but not too big. What do you like to drink? What is your favourite food? Do you have a favourite place to visit? Is there somewhere in the World you would love to go? What do you want to be when you grow up? Who are your friends? Do you have a favourite colour? Who is in your family? What is your favourite pop group or music? What films or programs do you watch on tv? What are your hobbies? Do you play any sports?
