Objective Summary

Is a concise, complete, accurate, and objective overview of a text. Objective Summary Is a concise, complete, accurate, and objective overview of a text.

An effective summary: Focuses on the main theme or central idea of text, and specific/relevant details that support them. Is brief! A snapshot of the whole story. Remains Objective! (Leave out opinions, reactions, or personal connections)

An effective summary IS NOT: 1. Copied from original source! (your own words) 2. Long. Don’t share every event or detail! 3. The readers opinion or interpretation of the work. (leave yourself out!)
