(A) 812 differentially expressed RNAs were identified in 1 h old miR-210Δ heads compared with control by RNA sequencing (*adjusted P value < 0.05, n = 3). (B) GO enrichment of differentially regulated mRNAs demonstrated that many genes with GO terms related to phototransduction and vision were down-regulated. (C) Four potential miR-210 targets predicted by PicTar and TargetScan were also up-regulated on RNA level in miR-210Δ mutant flies. (D) The receptor potential of miR-210Δ mutants was partially rescued by Fasn1 RNAi as measured by ERG in 4-d-old flies (miR-210Δ; GMR-Gal4/+ versus miR-210Δ; and GMR-Gal4>UAS-Fasn1 RNAi: *P < 0.05, n = 7–9).
