Presentation transcript:

Nicole M. Bhave et al. JIMG 2018;11:902-919 Type A Aortic Dissection Dissection flap (arrows) in the proximal aortic arch (A) and abdominal aorta (B) on transthoracic echocardiography in a patient with known bicuspid aortic valve and thoracic aortic aneurysm. On computed tomographic angiography, the dissection (flap denoted with arrows) was found to originate just distal to the sinotubular junction (C), involve the aortic arch (D), and extend to the proximal abdominal aorta, approximately 2 cm proximal to the celiac artery origin (E).
