With increasing and alarming rates, however, these bacteria are becoming resistant to many of the common antibiotics that are prescribed. In a few, well-structured sentences, address the following points: What feature of bacteria allows them to develop a resistance to antibiotics so quickly? How do you think antibiotics work? That is, what can they do to kill bacterial cells, but not harm human cells? Are bacteria completely to blame for their increasing resistance to antibiotics? Are humans doing anything to allow them to become more and more resistant?
