NACRA 2019 case SUBMISSION DEADLINE June 17, 2019 is almost here! In this issue: Conference Submission Deadline, CRJ, EEC Case Award, Webmaster Position NACRA 2019 case SUBMISSION DEADLINE June 17, 2019 is almost here! Full cases to be submitted through the ScholarOne link on the NACRA website. In-Development cases to be submitted to Linda Swayne leswayne@uncc.edu. New Views session deadline is June 10th and submissions are to be sent directly to Eric Dolansky edolansky@brocku.ca. Please visit the NACRA website for more information regarding the conference and the call for cases. This year’s conference October 10-12, 2019 is being held at the Tempe Mission Palms hotel located right in downtown Tempe, steps from restaurants, bars and attractions. The hotel offers a complementary shuttle from the airport (a ten-minute drive), has a pool, fitness center, a beautiful courtyard, restaurant and bar. We are looking forward to seeing you all in Tempe! Efforts on Behalf of the CRJ Recognized June 2019 CRJ Subscriptions Starting in 2019, NACRA unbundled NACRA membership fees and CRJ subscriptions.  NACRA memberships are $40/year. If you have registered for the annual conference the annual NACRA membership is included in the conference fee.  CRJ subscriptions are an additional $45/year for North American subscriptions or $75/year for subscriptions sent outside North America.  CRJ case abstract are available for free on CRJ’s website.  If you desire a subscription of the CRJ it is important to order it when you register for the conference or pay for your annual membership fee.  CRJ subscriptions are only available to NACRA members and libraries.  Instructor Review Copies of CRJ cases and Instructor Manuals are available from our distribution partners such as Harvard, Ivey, McGraw-Hill, and Zanedu.  Students and university bookstores should purchase cases from our distribution partners. Efforts on Behalf of the CRJ Recognized We would like to recognize the efforts of Cle-Anne Gabriel, John Lawrence, Gina Grandy, and others who assisted in the process of submitting our CRJ nomination to the ABDC. The ABDC submission required a significant amount of effort and this work on behalf of the CRJ is greatly appreciated. We remain positive regarding the outcome of this ABDC decision process. Webmaster Position NACRA is searching for a member who is interested in serving as a Webmaster for the NACRA website. NACRA June 2019 newsletter prepared by Jane Gravill, VP Communications Call for Nominations Sage Publishing “Exemplar of Ethics in Business Case Writing” Award, by a Graduate Student The Ethics Education Committee of the Academy of Management and Sage Publishing are recognizing exemplars of ethical case writing through the Sage Publishing “Exemplar of Ethics in Business Case Writing” Award, by a Graduate Student. Email your case submission to the Ethics Education Committee at AOMEthicsEducation@gmail.com by June 10, 2019. Follow the nomination guidelines below: Nominations are accepted until June 10, 2019, and should include: • A letter of recommendation outlining how the case meets the criteria and what specific aspect(s) of the AOM Code of Ethics is exemplified (two pages maximum). • A brief bio, written by the nominee, with links to their webpage Short listed award recipients will be notified in July 2019 to confirm their attendance at the conference in Boston. This award recognizes graduate student scholarship in case writing that exemplifies the AOM Code of Ethics. • Graduate students may apply for this award directly, by submitting an unpublished case study they have authored or coauthored (providing they are the lead author). • The case topic is open, but must exemplify ethical case preparation and writing, as well as ethical conduct in business or organizations. Cases must be suitable for publication by a respected academic publisher and include discussion questions and teaching notes in accordance with SAGE Publishing’s case templates, which are located on the Sage Publishing website. To nominate/apply for an award please provide all required materials in one pdf file and email to the Ethics Education Committee at AOMEthicsEducation@gmail.com by June 10, 2019. Note that two additional awards are also open for nominations at this time: • Business Ethics Quarterly “Exemplar of Ethical Graduate Student Practice” Award •Journal of Business Ethics “Exemplar of Ethical Graduate Student Supervision” Award.
