Common Core Standards: Thursday, May 30th, 2019 Common Core Standards: RI.11-12.7, W.11-12.8 and SL.11-12.1 Aim: How can we apply the outline and the grading rubric to the composition of the research paper? Do Now: Answer one of the following questions. 1.) What are your final steps to ensure that you compose a successful research paper and submit it on time tonight (before midnight)? 2.) Read an excerpt from your neighbor’s research paper. How would you evaluate their research paper? Objective: Students will be able to use the outline and grading rubric to compose their research paper.

Common Core Standards: RI.11-12.7, W.11-12.8 and SL.11-12.1 Thursday, May 30th, 2019 Aim: How can we apply the outline and the grading rubric to the composition of the research paper? Objective:: Students will be able to follow the outline and the grading rubric to continue writing their research paper. Agenda A.) Do Now: Answer one of the questions. B.) Discuss/Share: Turn and talk with your table mates. Share with your table captains. Captains will share with the class. C.) Mini-Lesson: Review the research paper requirements. C.) Work Period: Work on composing the research paper, using the outline and rubric to guide you. D.) Reflections: On a scale of 1-10 (1=least understanding; 10=complete understanding), how do you rate your research paper so far? Are you able to complete your research paper tonight? Why do you believe it’s necessary to compose a research paper?
