The capital of Indiana is Indianapolis The capital of Indiana is Indianapolis. It became a state on December 11, 1816 as our 19th state in the U.S.A.

Indiana’s state bird is the Cardinal as it is in many states Indiana’s state bird is the Cardinal as it is in many states. The state flower is the Peony as it is only in Indiana unlike the Cardinal.

The state tree is the Tulip Tree The state tree is the Tulip Tree. Indiana has a whopping 88 colleges under its belt. The state nickname is “The Hoosier State” because a business man’s last name and the Indian word for corn is hoosa.

Michael Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana on August 29th in 1958 Michael Jackson was born in Gary, Indiana on August 29th in 1958. He passed away on July 25, 2009. His parents are Katherine Jackson and Joe Jackson. Joe Jackson died last year but his wife is still alive. But Michael Jackson’s legacy still lives today as a pop star.

You could visit Santa Claus, IN where Holliday World is and who has the best hot chocolate Mrs. Schweska says. There is the Children’s Museum in Indianapolis.

You could visit Turkey Run State Park or the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The giant Indianapolis Zoo has a lot of animals!
