The Japanese Lifestyle Traditional Japanese houses are wooden and detached. Today, they usually have western-style rooms but Japanese people decorate the rooms in a traditional style. The traditional Japanese dress is called “kimono”. People wear it on special occasions. They wear modern clothes such as T-shirts and Jeans in daily life. Japanese people eat with chopsticks. Their favourite food is rice and fish. Japanese children enjoy both traditional dishes and fast food.
