Dive into the paradox – great trust/great mystery Plain Jesus (4) Dive into the paradox – great trust/great mystery

Reviewing… 1 – Wholeness is how we live (action not dogma is the key) 2 – We need to let our ego illusions (Self-protective fears/pride) die 3 – We are the weak (Abundant life is found in solidarity with the weak and recognition that this is simply the truth)

The paradox of jesus Invitation to a crazy amount of trust But where is the clarity and certainty to give us this trust?

Promises Presence – I will be with you always Faithfulness will transform us (Presence and gifts of the Spirit) Wholeness (But lots of suffering and persecution?) Good responsiveness of God (If you ask for a fish you won’t get a snake)

Confidence in Koinonia – participation/sharing We dive into this paradox together. And “loving one another” is part of how we experience the trustworthy fruit of God Be lovingly vulnerable together and experience the truth of what you’re trusting in (even though communities are messy and will fail you) I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers, 5 because I hear of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints; 6 and I pray that the koinonia of your faith (participating in the experience of trust) may become effective through the knowledge of every good thing which is in you for Christ’s sake. 7 For I have come to have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother. (Philemon 1.6)

Blessed are they who did not see and yet trusted 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach here with your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand and put it into My side; and do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Because you have seen Me, have you believed? Blessed are they who did not see, and yet believed.” - John 20 The invitation is to trust the mystery and then experience the result – not get it all figured out or affirm the correct doctrine
