Inventions To invent is to create through independent investigation, experimentation, and basic brain power. Inventions can be nearly anything and can come as a result of a moment of ingeniousness, a solution to a problem, or as a development from years of research.
Patents So….let’s say that you have this really great invention. What do you do with it? Well, you can try to patent your invention. What is a patent???
Protecting your invention is key! Patent It is a summary of your invention. When you get a patent, the whole world gets to read about your invention. Is a grant of property rights to the inventor, issued by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The right to exclude others from manufacturing, offering a sale or selling the invention in the United States or “importing” the invention to the United States. This patent only works in the United States, so if you wanted to sell a product in a different country you would need to work on getting a Patent from them.
Why get a Patent? MONEY!!!!!!
Protection Length Exclusive rights for up to 20 years. Within that time frame no one else can make/reproduce that item the same way. What happens after 20 years? Then anyone can make what you invented
What can be patented What can you patent? Can you patent a new soda flavor? A flying car? You can practically patent anything, but it must be new and useful
