Cut out the right triangles and the square and see if you can arrange them to be a square of area c2.

Now rearrange them so that they form a region of area a2+b2 What does this tell you?????

From section 4.1 in your text: Work in your group on mindscapes 1-6 then 13-16. Finally, work on 22.

Homework: Section 4.1 mindscapes 7-12 and 18 and 19. Assume that the pizzas are perfect circles and remember that the area of a circle is A = Ar2. Write a reflection on your experience with the Pythagorean Theorem.
