Figure 1 Wild-Type Cells Can Form Vascular Endothelial Cells in Mice with a Disrupted Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Receptor 2 (A) Intercrosses of Flk-1+/1173F mice result in approximately 25% of Flk-11173F/1173F blastocysts. Injection of these blastocysts with mouse pluripotent stem cells (PSCs) gives rise to viable chimeric mice with all vascular endothelial cells derived from the PSCs. (B) Injection of Flk-11173F/1173F mouse blastocysts with rat PSCs did not result in chimeric animals born. All embryos died in utero before embryonic day 13.5.
