API RP 17Q Status January, 2014 First Edition issued June 18, 2010 Action from the 2013 summer meeting was to work with the 17N Task Group to incorporate a blank Product Qualification Sheet (PQS) into the 17N document (likely as an informative item in the Appendix on Technology Readiness and Qualification) Recommendation from the 17N Task Group is to move those sections on Technology Readiness and Qualification into a completely reformulated 17Q document, primarily because those sections are not integral parts of Risk and Integrity Management (the primary focus of 17N), but also because updates of the documents will likely happen at different paces relative to each other. Need to work with 17N to agree on the general philosophy of reformulating 17Q into an RP on Subsea Equipment Technology Readiness and Qualification, and agree on how this will be completed organizationally and to what schedule. Complete the Standards Resource and Research Request (SRRR) form for this activity, obtain SC17 and CSOEM approvals, and commence the work.
