The Paterson Redevelopment Demolition Overview Demolition Phase B C Description of works The building has been split into 7 zones (0-6) as detailed above and will be demolished using a combination of machines and hand held plant and equipment. 3 vehicle gates labelled A,B and C will be used to access the site during the project. These gates will be controlled by designated gatekeepers. The footpath that runs along the length of the project will be closed. Pedestrians are to use the path on the opposite side of the road. The Paterson Redevelopment Machine Demolition (Zones 6,5,4,3 and 0) April 2019 to August 2019 Demolition Phase A C B 6 5 4 3 Description of works The parts of the building identified as Zones 6, 5, 4, 3 and 0 will be demolished using machines, the waste will be removed in wagons leaving rubble on site to fill any voids. The Paterson Redevelopment Hand Demolition (Zones 1 and 2) April 2019 to July 2019 Demolition Phase A 1 2 C 6 B Description of works The parts of the building identified as Zones 1 and 2 will be demolished using hand held equipment, the area to the rear of Zone 6 will also be demolished in this way. The waste will be removed in wagons leaving rubble on site to fill any voids. These parts are demolished by hand to minimise the disruption caused to adjoining buildings. The Paterson Redevelopment Plant Removal (Zones 2 and 3 Roof) May 2019 Demolition Phase A C B 2 3 B C Description of works Redundant plant and equipment will be removed from the roof of Zones 2 and 3 Roof using a crane. The plant will be lifted from the roof down to ground level and removed from site. The crane will be positioned within the site hoarding line. The Paterson Redevelopment Courtyard outside Christie Private Care outpatients - Overview Demolition Phase Diagram of Courtyard 2 1 Overview Courtyard Entrance Description of works Zones 1 and 2 will be encapsulated in a scaffold structure to prevent excessive dust and debris from escaping into sensitive areas located adjacent to the site. Other areas that interface with existing buildings will also be sheeted off. Access will be maintained to the courtyard during the demolition phase (some weekend closures may be needed). Key 1 Zone

In the event of an emergency users leave the building via the protected walkway routes and staircase provided Key Emergency escape routes

The Paterson Redevelopment Service Road Interface – Vehicles / Emergency Escapes Demolition Phase Oak Road Elevation Plan View Description Hospital delivery vehicles and access via Oak Road to be maintained along the length of the service road, a turning area will also be kept clear at the top of the road. In the event of an emergency, building users make their way out of the building using the existing routes and staircase provided. A sheeted scaffold will be erected along the length of the service road to mitigate dust and debris migration from site. Key Emergency escape routes Delivery vehicle routes
