Main parts of a micropipette Hub Setting ring Release button Pipette tip

How to use a micropipette Attention!! Make sure the tips fit to your pipette! Use each tip only one time! Don’t over turn the setting ring over the volume range! Don’t turn the pipette overhead!

How to use a micropipette Set the desired volume by turning the setting ring (2). Connect a sterile tip (4) from the tip box and close the box immediately to keep the tips sterile.

How to use a micropipette How to fill the Pipette Press down the hub (1) to the first stop Dip the tip vertically in the fluid Slowly glide back the hub (1) When taking out pipette tip (4) out of the fluid you have to wipe the tip off on the edge of the tube

How to use a micropipette How to empty the Pipette Lean the tip (4) on the tube wall Press down the hub (1) to the second stop Hold the hub (1) in the second stop down and take the tip (4) out of the liquid (4) Release the hub (1) Press the release button (3) to throw off the tip (4) in the wastebox

Exercise First, draw a line, where the liquid surface is when you start the exercise so that you can check if you pipetted precisely. Set the pipette to 825 μl and pipette 825 μl of the liquid from the clear tube to the blue tube. Then pipette 825 μl fluid from the blue tube to the clear one back again. If the liquid surface is at the line again, you pipetted precisely.
