L/O – To understand how humans use the TRF White – Name several uses of the Amazon rainforest Bronze – Describe one or more uses of the Amazon rainforest Silver – explain the value of the Amazon rainforest to humans, consider sustainability Gold – explain the value of the Amazon rainforest to humans and the natural world, link to sustainability Tell the learners that all of these items contain materials or resources that came from a tropical rainforest. FYI: Katy Perry’s dress is latex, naturally found in trees Discuss what would happen if we destroyed all of the rainforests.
