Who May Pray? John 9:13-34 Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him. God hears even our thoughts Ezek 11:5 Then the Spirit of the LORD came upon me, and he told me to say: “This is what the LORD says: That is what you are saying, O house of Israel, but I know what is going through your mind.”

Who May Pray? God hears what everyone says But He is unwilling to hear with favor those who refuse to listen to Him Isaiah 1:15 “When you spread out your hands in prayer, I will hide my eyes from you; even if you offer many prayers, I will not listen. Your hands are full of blood.” Is. 59:1-2, Prov. 28:9

God Requires Repentance Is. 1:16-20 make yourselves clean Stop doing evil Start doing good Ezekiel 33:10-16 Turn and live Repentance requires restitution God responds to humility Manasseh 2 Chronicles 33:9-13 All have sinned Rom. 3:23 All need forgiveness Luke 18:9-14

Every Spiritual Blessing is IN CHRIST Ephesians 1:3 Forgiveness Eph. 1:7 Life Colossians 3:4 Christ IS our life! Prayer Eph. 3:12, Heb. 4:14-16 NO blessing including prayer outside Christ No “sinner’s prayer” can save one outside Christ How Saul called on the name of the Lord Acts 9:3-9,11,18; 22:16

Those IN CHRIST May Pray Samaritans and Simon the Sorcerer Acts 8:5-6,12-13 believed and were baptized (saved according to Mark 16:16) Simon sinned v.18-23 Peter told him to repent and pray v.22 Simon asked Peter to pray for him v.24 A brother in Christ in need of forgiveness must repent and pray! We can pray for you If not in Christ, you must believe, repent, confess, and be baptized into Christ
