OUR VISION We create open pathways to knowledge for a good society. Students, staff and collaborative partners, both locally and globally, support one another’s learning through education and research. We develop work forms and meeting places where everyone who is adequately prepared and motivated can be involved in higher education throughout adult life. We are constantly involved in discussion so as to take active responsibility to promote a good society, not only at the regional level or for our own generation, but also at the global level and for future generations.

Greta Thunberg, 15

Internationalisation in the age of climate change A CHALLENGE Internationalisation in the age of climate change We need to continue to learn with and through each other. Education is a crucial tool from several aspects: Providing correct and relevant facts about the conditions. Affecting attitudes and behaviour. Installing an ability to take action. Spreading and sharing knowledge and ideas.

THE IDEA Contiuous contacts between teacher students from different countries via a digital platform throughout the teacher programme.

NOTHING REVOLUTIONARY I know! There is a lot done similar to this already! In the digitalised world all the requirements are there (equipment and skills).

More contacts – without (more) travel A BEARING THOUGHT More contacts – without (more) travel International perspectives in our courses and programmes. Yes! More of that! New ways of connecting people. Yes! Could be developed!

Not instead of mobility A CONSEQUENCE Not instead of mobility Mobility is relatively low among teacher students. The exchange in form of mobility will not decrease through this. On the contrary: By reaching more students through this project there is a chance that more will find it exciting to study abroad.

Any digital conference tool will do…but THE TOOL Any digital conference tool will do…but An easy way to go ahead is to invite partners into our environment. (As of now it is Adobe Connect at Dalarna University) These things do not last forever! With increasing digital competence the technical aspects will probably not be the problem though.

We need to plan and compare structures PLANNING We need to plan and compare structures When is it good to arrange the meetings? How much guidance will be needed?
