Sissel Haugdal Jore Sissel Haugdal Jore is the Center Manager of SEROS- Center for Risk Management and Societal Safety and Associate Professor at the University of Stavanger, Norway. She holds a PhD in Societal Safety and Risk Management. Her main research fields are terrorism, counterterrorism, and security risk management. She has developed and are teaching a Bachelor course in “Security and Information protection”, and a Master`s course in “Security – risk management and protection from terrorism and other intentional acts”. Currently, she is a visiting scholar at the University of Colorado at Boulder.

Of Management Engineering, Engineering Systems Division Research subjects: Uncertainty modelling and presentation, modelling of human performance, resilience analysis, risk based design of cyber-physical systems Applications: Nuclear, chemical, oil and gas production and transportation, wind energy production, railway, maritime, critical infrastructure and autonomous vehicles Taught courses at DTU: 1. Sakari Kuikka, Professor of Fishery, University of Helsinki, Finland Member of two fisheries working groups of International Council for the Exploration of the sea. Both handle and estimate risks.  Projects: WP leader in two projects of Strategic Research Council of Finland (SSTN): Smartsea and WISE projects. Both of these are focusing on risks. Teaching: decision and risk analysis in the University of Helsinki and supervising two PhD thesis that apply Bayesian inference to marine risks.

Sima Rastayesh, Ph.D. Fellow, Aalborg University Student Representative of SRA Nordic Chapter Recent research topics: Bayesian networks, RAMS(Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Safety), Risk-based Operation and Maintenance, Risk-based Inspections, FMEA(Failure Mode and Effect Analysis), FT(Fault Tree) Analysis, (Event Tree) Analysis, Human errors. Recent project: Development of methods for risk assessment of wind turbine support structures and bridges. (This project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie grant agreement No 676139.) Application areas: Wind turbines, bridges, nuclear industry, oil and gas industry, fuel cells.
