Where the Yorkshire Dales is The Yorkshire Dales National Park is South-East from the Lake District. It can be found in Northern England. The Yorkshire Dales is a beautiful place so you can’t miss it!!! It is 2179km squared!!! Where the Yorkshire Dales is Wow that’s HUGE!
What the landscape looks like Drystone walls criss-cross hillsides. Stunningly, rivers flow through the pretty valleys. These rivers are called the River Swale and the River Nidd. Lush green valleys spread across the land while a hidden world lies beneath. The Yorkshire Dales is an area of natural beauty.
What you can do there When you are visiting, you can go for a calming walk. If you are more of a sporty person, then you might enjoy rambling or running in the breeze. You can’t avoid looking at the wonderful scenery.
Swale Trail The Swale Trail is a bike tour of some of the Yorkshire Dales. It is in Reeth which is also a wonderful place to visit. If you don’t have a bike or enjoy bike riding, you might like a relaxing walk across the landscape. After a hard stroll or cycle, you can have a lovely ice-cream, tea or cake at the café to cool you down.

New Creatures found!!! The Whippersqueak The first new animal that has been discovered by scientists in the Yorkshire Dales is the Whippersqueak. They noticed that it has a yellow tail, which can glow in the dark, two orange stings at it’s hips that it uses when it is scared and has MASSIVE ears. This creature is extremely shy but fierce. It’s pretty fast even though it looks cute. The Spiked Spined It has 4 four toes on its back legs and 3 on its front legs which is very weird. This creature has 2 tall green spines on its back, a big brown pouch on its tummy and a mane around its face. On its tail, it has itty-bitty, purple spikes that it whacks enemies with. It also catches its prey with its vast, green spikes.
This is an artistic picture of what scientists have found.
This is where the spiked spined was found, in a dark, damp cave. The Whippersqueak was found in a crack in a drystone wall in the YD.
