Anne Frank By Abby O’Reilly
Anne’s Early Life Anne frank was born in June in 1929. She & her family lived in the Netherlands. She loved writing and reading books. When she was 13 her father gave her a diary. She decided to write down all her feelings & thoughts in the diary because she didn’t have any friends to share them with.
That same year another family the Van Daans joined the Franks since they had no where else to go either. While they were hiding terrible things happened on the streets. Jews were taken to the camps and might never come back. On the 17th of November a new tenant joined them Mr Albert Dussel. Space was limited and they had to live by strict rules. If the police ever found them they would be in great danger. After the start of World War 2 in 1939 the Frank family and all other Jews became second class citizens which stripped them of all their rights. They were only allowed to shop in specific places at certain times and they always had to wear a star of David on their clothes at all times. The 9th of July Anne’s family had to go into hiding to protect themselves from being taken into the camps where Jews ended up during World War II. She called her new home “The Secret Shelter”
On the 4th of august the Nazis found where Anne and her family were hiding with the help of her father’s co-workers. Her mother and father went to prison. While herself and her sister Margaret went to a camp. When her parents went to prison her mother died while she was in prison and only her father came out. Anne and her sister Margaret died while they were in there camp. Only her father survived.
