Mrs. Jensen’s News March 18th – March 22nd, 2019 Important Dates March 28th - NDSCS Play @ 10:00 April 3rd – Color Run Packets Due April 10th – Early Out @ 1:20 We are learning! This week we focused on reading ONE LITTLE MOUSE. We studied the letter Ll and worked on consonant blends. Our words (new & review) this week: one, two, three, four, five, ate, came, ride, so, be, all, get, well, eat. In math, we are learning about number bonds and composing and decomposing numbers. Mr. Erlandson, our math specialist, came in to teach us about rekenreks. Ask your child to tell you what a rekenrek is. In science, we created our own rainbows using repeated patterns. I sent a picture home on Monday of your child’s rainbow. We do love science experiments! Please continue to send your child with winter gear. It wouldn’t hurt to send an extra pair of socks too. Many of the kids are coming in with wet feet after recess. HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND! Homework *Please continue to review all of our high- frequency words. *Practice counting back from 35. *Read, read & then read some more! Mrs. Jensen jensenj@breckenridge.k12.mn.us
