How is color created by light?

Concepts to keep in mind: Sources of light vs. reflectors of light Ray diagrams - showing the path light takes as it is emitted from a source and/or reflects off an object before entering your eye. Mixing light vs. mixing pigments How do colors appear depending on different sources of light (fluorescent or incandescent or sunlight, etc.)? Common colors by name: combinations of red, green, blue create cyan, yellow, magenta, white Differentiate between different umbra shadows and penumbra shadows.

4-9-13 Lab Activity: Exploring Light and Color Question - How is color created by light? Join together in lab groups of 4 List lab partners at top of your paper. Warm-Up by answering the questions on the first page of the lab packet with your lab partner. Next, go to a lab station and complete the activity. Use the lab equipment and a shadow puppet (much like the previous lab) to test the last two pages of the activity. Share the color pencils located by the windows. Submit yesterday's assignment if you haven't already. 4-9-13
